As I am now an approved permanent aussie resident I am meant to exchange my overseas license for a local Victorian one. As Danish licenses are approved without any further ado it is basically a matter of formality, but they still require you to bring in an official translation of your license details. as I have a credit card style standard EU license. I was sure I would be able to find some official source for a translation of the generic terms online. So off to google and look for it. Up comes www.eulicences.com apart from the spelling which I think is US with to c’s rather than a c and an s you would think you are on to something.
Well I sure was on to something but it was not what I was looking for. These guys will basically facilitate a genuine EU drivers license for your (valid across all of the EU and EEA) They recommend that you always drive on a license from another country than the one you reside in and on and on it goes. They can do all of this for a modest fee of 400 Euro. Their service is targeted at people who failed their driving test because they where too stressed, but think they should have passed. People who have lost their license etc etc. They do not directly try and talk you in to illegal activity, but their FAQ’s 1st question is Can this really be legal? followed by things like:
Intermingled with useful advise on how you can use the service without sitting any test, without being an EU citizen, With out any proof of ID etc. etc.
So have you lost you license from speeding, drink driving or even worse offences. They are here to help and you will be issued with a license from one of these esteemed counties:
Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia.
Happy driving…
